What can Google actually see on your website?

Type in a web address. In about a minute you get the same checklist we run before we touch a client's site: whether Google can crawl it, whether each page says what it is, whether AI assistants are allowed in, and whether anyone is measuring any of it.

What this does, exactly

  • It reads the site the way a crawler does. The homepage, up to nine more pages from the sitemap, robots.txt, and a sample of internal links. About forty requests in total, identified honestly as our auditor.
  • It asks Google for the speed test. Phone load times come from Google's own PageSpeed service, using real visitor data when the site has enough traffic and a lab test when it does not.
  • It stores nothing. The report exists in your browser until you close the tab. Download it if you want to compare next month.

What it will not do

  • It will not see inside your accounts. Analytics settings, Search Console, your Google Business Profile. Those are half the job, and they are listed separately in the report instead of being guessed at.
  • It will not tell you your ranking. Rankings move by the hour and by the searcher. This checks the foundation rankings are built on.
  • It will not get past a site that blocks it. If your security settings refuse our auditor, the report says so and leaves those items unchecked. It will not pretend to be a browser to get around them.

Why this is free

I run Spearworks AI in Happy Valley, and this is the first thing I do on every search engagement. Most of what it finds is fixable in an afternoon by whoever built your site. Some of it is not, and that is the part I do for a living. Either way the list is yours.
